When an original equipment wheel hub assembly is due for replacement on certain Ram and Ram Classic trucks, the job can become difficult because rust has grown between the surfaces of the steering knuckle and the wheel hub bearing, ultimately resulting in the two assemblies seizing together. Although this problem is common in Salt Belt regions, it can also occur over time under normal vehicle use and when it does it can make the knuckle challenging or impossible to salvage.
